Got this today, Its a Gibson SG Standard with classic 57s. Ive been courting this for 2 weeks and I finally talked Guitar Center into $200.00 off. It was $1197.00 out the door. Great! I wonder if you can find a decal like Tony Iommi had on one of his SG's?

Half stacks are like black cars.

Everybody should own one......once.

She's a beaut. Nice grain in the wood. And I much prefer SGs with the smaller pickguard than the bigger one. Congrats!

Congrats-SGs are great guitars but I suggest that you go full stack-there's nothing like it.

Congratulations Moparguy!! I got the same SG earlier in the year. I much prefer the smaller pick guard to the Bat wing design used previously, gives it a much more classic feel.

Congrats Moparguy! Welcome to the club! These are great guitars and the 57 Classic Pickups have great tones in em! Mine is an older model with the larger peg head, and I must admit, I like the little bit smaller one...here is mine.

As for getting a stack...this one works pretty well!
