Just saw a Zappa Plays Zappa concert. They did the entire Roxy & Elsewhere album plus a good number of other prime Zappa pieces. Dweezil is a very accomplished guitarist, and the band he has assembled around him is top shelf all the way.

Zappa and the Mothers Live at Fillmore East is my favourite live album, just astonishingly great music. And those lyrics ... not the sort of thing to play in polite company but at times bitingly funny.

Don't even get me started on Apostrophe and Overnite Sensation or I'll end up having one of my non-stop Zappa listening weeks.

Always felt "Zoot Allures" was one of his best records. Not too many folks ever comment about that one :?:

Great Album I have seen Zappa countless times, many Halloween show in NYC Sad the way he went I guess it time to get my check up. Any way I can not think of a bad Zappa Album I even like 2000 Motels I do own in the vicinity of 30 to 40 Zappa CD's and vinyl I also saw the Zappa plays Zappa thing about 4 times the last time I saw it July 28 2011, I decided, and this is only my opinion, this has become a tribute band as he no longer uses X Zappa Band Members, like they did in the beginning
