Don't worry, I've handled a bunch of guitars before so I know what to do, the shopkeepers let me play all the time, knowing that I can't afford it, so they gimme a chance to play the guitar or amp I want, :D that Strat had such a clear sound, and when OD'd it had sustain like I've never heard it before. so yeah basically they tease me :P lol. They are nice shopkeepers that is for sure, I'd recommend Musos Corner to any guitar kid who wants to play expensive gear :D I got permission to jam with another shop worker one day, we had a bit of fun, we cranked two Marshalls and played AC/DC, He had a Gretsch I had an SG, and my god powerful tone! That was about four months ago too! but I can't believe I got to play something really expensive and it's a Strat at the same time lol. Don't worry I am not gonna drop it, I've handled a few vintage axes and they all sounded great, so yeah I really want one, but what shall I do with no cash? D:

Well, as an old dude who spent a good 10 years doing music over 50 years ago with a '58 Strat on his shoulder [which, by the way, I bought from my bandmate when he upgraded to a new Jaguar in '62]here's what you can do. Start out simple. My first guitar was a Harmony archtop which I wired myself. Then I bought a '60 Dano twin short horn. Work with your bands, hone your chops, tie down your A's in school, get an education to serve you either as backup, main event or both and earn some coin and set it aside for a rainy day. Some day, when you've paid your dues, you'll have a stable of your choice of guitars.

Exactly :)
I remember mowing yards and dreaming the whole time I was going to have a real Fender Stratocaster.
I wanted one just like the guy on the cover of Deep Purple Made in Japan played.
I was going to play smoke on the water just like him.
I didn't even know his name then.
But yes indeed find a way to make money like Doc said, legitimately no illegal stuff.

When I got my first permanent job my first order of business was to save up enough to buy a new car in cash-which I did,the next order of business was to buy a Strat-which I did,a beautiful honestly re-liced '65 sunburst with all the roadwear on it.After that every cent that I made gigging went back into music. When you are properly motivated and want something badly enough you will do whatever you can by any (legal) means to get it.I can guarantee you that the harder that you work towards earning something that you desperately want, the more it will mean to you.

BTW: While I was still in Jr. high and high school I worked at cleaning out stables and as a recreation staff member in an orphanage respectively and from the money I earned at these jobs I had saved up to buy a beautiful C.A.R. Hagstrom II and a Traynor Guitar Mate amp.I still have all of this gear because I had worked so hard for it and appreciated it so much,I could never part with it for any amount of money. No amount of money can replace the attachment you feel with some instruments.

True, I felt kind of attached to that '58 Relic Strat because it sounded good in my hands, I think Buddy was teasing me about his sound, but I didn't want to leave because that guitar just sang to me in the best way possible, through a 1950s artist that I liked, and I felt kind of attached to it like I would a real '58 Strat. I want to go back and play that guitar, next time I may attach a video <3

I think the real question here is why someone who joined less than a month ago already have 200+ posts. I wonder how much guitar you are actually playing... :?:

The current generation does not come home from school, throw their books on the table and go out to play stickball, punchball, basketball, touch/tackle football, soccer. They are tekkies not sporties and that's where the time is spent.

I'd prefer to spend half that time playing guitar, walking down to Newcastle and go into Muso's Corner to rock out on the most expensive Marshall there and crank it up!
