I was at Musos buying patch leads and a new instrument cable and I wanted to try some guitars, I went into the amp room and saw a Custom Shop '58 Strat Relic on the stand, I picked it up and plugged into a Marshall JVM 1 watt head that was running through a 1936 2x12 cabinet, I set it for the clean channel and volume on the amp at six, I set the selector switch for the two position, OMG that guitar had the Buddy Holly tone, Guess the price? 4K come on man that should be priced cheaper, I wanted it though I wish I did have 4k at the time, and DAMN that guitar had some sustain through the OD channel too, it made me shred for a little while, then I went back to the clean channel and started playing Buddy Holly, I was singing as well hopefully the shop owner got me on video surveillence singing haha I just wanna go back there after closing if I ever get to work there, and stay in the amp room all night playing Buddy Holly on that 4K strat, my god that guitar had a flippin great tone I just wanted it it was love at first sight man but I didn't have the money, might as well save up for years and custom order one to be like Buddy Holly's 58 Fender, and probably only use it for my Holly covers, and my god that one I played was so fat on the neck the fretboard felt great in my hands and it massaged my hands :) I was so happy I played some solo in E on the neck pickup, I turned off the amp and put the Strat back on the stand, and I went to look at some pedals but I didn't walk away with any today, but I am picking up some off the internet :D I did buy patch cables and a DC power splitter, and it is freaking cool! and my Behringer octaver broke so I have 2 pedals, a Vox wah wah and a Boss SD-1 going to my MG15FX, and my god I wish I had 4K to plop onto a Strat, I'd buy that '58 Relic and play it forever if I have enough K for that JVM and that 1936 Cab, the cab was on sale as well it was $1099 down to $629 and I wanted to plop some cash onto a cab but I couldn't, so basically I walked out with 3 patch cables, a DC splitter to 5, and a mini link lead, and a Ashton 20ft cable, I didn't get my Gretsch setup because the setup fee was f**king $75?! also man I just can't believe the sustain that '58 Relic Strat had!!! my god it was like playing Buddy Holly's real 58 except with more dings, so yeah thats my fun for today :D

if you press the 'enter' button on the keyboard it will start what literate people know as a 'new paragraph'.

this genius example of punctuation stops something that could possibly be quite interesting being something that nobody wants to read because it makes their eyes hurt. I stopped reading at the third line because it was too much hassle.

your spelling is good for a 12 year old though.

I know, I was crying at the price too much to get a pic, but you should have seen me, I was bonding with that '58 Relic Strat, like my Gretsch but a lot more expensive

Just saying dude, the world is screwing up everyday and it shows, overpriced guitars? Seriously? I'd rather buy guitars really cheap if they are big brands, and set them up and put good PUs in them and make them sound like Buddy Holly for once xD

I'd be happy if I could just afford the Dave Murray Strat at my local Guitar Center.

Actually, I can afford it... but I would sure be happy if my wife thought I could too!

I wouldn't even bother touching a $4k Strat because it is never gonna happen unless someone buys me a winning lottery ticket! No Gilmour Strat in my future!

Actually, I am surprised that a shopkeeper would even let you jam on a $4k axe without some significant indication that you are a serious buyer.
