Mine was a Framus archtop acoustic that my mother bought for me when I was 9 or 10. It had a 3/4 size body with a full size neck but the bridge was placed for a 3/4 size so intonation was always an issue. Of course I didn't know what intonation was at the time. I just knew the guitar always sounded out of tune. The first electric I ever bought with my own money was a Kent Strat copy. I think I was 13 or so.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

An old Yamaha acoustic. My parents wouldn't get any thing I liked until I started to play, what they called - good enough lol! In the meantime I was frantically working loads of little jobs to save up for a Squier Stratocaster, which I bought for around £50 (Can't remember if it was used, or new now) in 1980 when I was 15, I wish I still had it.

An Aria 12-string acoustic in the late 60s.
The string spacing on it was unique - at the nut it was like any other 12-strings with strings in pairs, but at the bridge, the strings were almost equally spaced. This allowed easier picking only one of a pair.
It also had bridge height adjustment - two nickel sized screws hidden behind wooden pegs/lids.

I loved that guitar so much. Unfortunately, a drunk family member put an end to it.

A "Taro" classical guitar handed down to me by my uncle. This went on to my brother after I purchased a red Strat style "Series A" electric guitar.

Mine was a no name plywood "Spanish" guitar. I still have it it in pieces. I'm going to restore it.
My first electric was a 63 Supro Martinique and I still have and gig with it. Here's a photo. The Twin was sold a few years ago.

I wish I could tell you what my first guitar was. Or even my second one. They were cheapo Japanese guitars, one was red, the other a sunburst.

My third guitar, however, was a black Univox Les Paul copy, supremely more playable than those first two (that ended up in the dust bin or burned). My fourth was a nice new Stratocaster.

My first Guitar was a Victoria with 3 pickups when I was 15 never really learned how to play made a lot of noise playing through a wollensak tube tape recorder on the PA setting with some sort of 15 inch cabinet, that thing distorted way nice, as a matter of fact I found another one recently and put some old Utah speaker as stand alone and sometimes I use it as a tube distortion with my 69 SFSR and it sounds pretty good
I played that Victoria and broke strings my Parents would not by me new ones I ended up playing it for a while with 2 strings the D and G, I was the best 2sting guitar player in the area

My first was a $9.95 acoustic branded "Prestige". My first electric (and my brother's) was also a Prestige. We used to call them "cheese cutters" because the action was so high they looked like my mother's cheese slicer.

My first amp was an Alamo. Remember them?

I started on an old semi sanded Peavey Predator and a Peavey 2x12, but my first guitar was an old Westone with a Floyd. Sort of a M-II clone.
