Bill and GTC, I just understand why you are laughing , Mesa Boogie and Carvin are not a stores . I know MB are north of LA , Petaluma.

I will write GC Sunset blvd and Sam Hash on my list If you think it worth a visit just for see lots of gear.

Well; actually Carvin and Mesa Boogie have stores right next to each other, across the street from GC Hollywood on Sunset Blvd.[/quote

Not all Guitar Centers are created equal. If you want to experience a wow moment and see vintage gear, head to the GC on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood. They have a large vintage room that is worth the time to visit. Also, Mesa Boogie, Carvin and Sam Ash are right across the street, so you can get a pretty good fix in a one block area.

Today I see all of those stores . lot of guitars and amps . Guitar Center and Sam Hash very impressive . Thank's for your help . California is a great place .

Yesterday , I see a small store in chinatown , http://caveman-vintage.com/instruments/

Was close , Thanksgiving . I can see a lot of vintage by their windows . Same you can see on the web .

Just saw this and I don't know if it's too late, but IMHO Truetone Music is one of the coolest and best guitar stores in the LA area. Lots of vintage equipment. Good salespeople who either help you or leave you alone, based on your needs. And did I say lots of vintage equipment to try out?
