Hi ,
I'm going to Los Angeles and San Francisco in few weeks . I would like to visit some big electric guitars/ amp stores or some vintage guitars / amps stores . Did you know some ?

Guitar Center is well known and big, But that isn't always a good thing, When all goes well it's fine, but let their be an issue where you need customer service and they become a pain in the arse

Maybe you are right , I know back in my country I may forget customer service. Does not matter , i can fix all my gear myself.

I just want to have look on original gear , see new stuff or very old one like vintage . Don't want to buy unless it is a very great deal .

well I don't think you will find much vintage gear at a Guitar Center,. they do have used gear,. who knows you might get lucky and find a gem

Not all Guitar Centers are created equal. If you want to experience a wow moment and see vintage gear, head to the GC on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood. They have a large vintage room that is worth the time to visit. Also, Mesa Boogie, Carvin and Sam Ash are right across the street, so you can get a pretty good fix in a one block area.

Agreed, most of the guitar centers around here are pretty good about their customer service. The Hollywood and west la locations have a descent variety of vintage guitars as well.
As an alternative, there's this place http://www.californiavintageguitarandamp.com

Bill and GTC, I just understand why you are laughing , Mesa Boogie and Carvin are not a stores . I know MB are north of LA , Petaluma.

I will write GC Sunset blvd and Sam Hash on my list If you think it worth a visit just for see lots of gear.

Well; actually Carvin and Mesa Boogie have stores right next to each other, across the street from GC Hollywood on Sunset Blvd.
