For you non-jazz fans, just watch from 2:00 to about 4:00. Almost no legatto here. This guys picks practically every note.

Hello Cryingstrat,

I've always wanted to see Pat Metheny live
but have never really had the opportunity
maybe one day.

Recently on public television I saw a show
spotlighting Jim Hall and Pat Metheny,
not earth shattering but a good program.

Cheers.

Hi Cryingstrat,

Looks like he is touring Europe
for the summer. I'm gonna
keep an eye on his website.

Cheers.

The guy is a road warrior. He's always out there somewhere. Usually sweet little, intimate venues.

Tell ya what...send a letter to your gates buddy and ask him what he thinks of Metheny.

Pat Methany is pretty good (sarcasm alert)

Lee Ritnour's pretty good, too. Here he is with Larry Carlton, And Larry's Playing a Strat!

Great stuff. Both are damn fine guitar players. Was that a Super 400 Lee was playing? How often do you see a strat and a super 400 working together? Just shows how versitile the strat is.

Hello Cryingstrat,

That's not a super 400,
it's an L-5c acoustic w/neck mounted humbucker.

Cheers.

Strats keep getting better, everytime someone else plays one. I wonder if Methany play duets, I'll go loking, I love jazz duets. Joe Pass and Roy Clarke really jazz it up together.

It looked like a mini humbucker and that threw me some. I hadn't seen a Super with one before. The L5 is another beauty. Both are amazing examples of fine lutherie.
