A massive hello to you all, and I hope my stay is long and I make friends along the way - so hello guys and girls! :) Also thought I'd post a few picks a few pictures of my latest acquisitions. I got the Fender Mustang III amp in racing red, and best of all the Wilko Johnson signature Tele yesterday, so far I haven't been able to put the guitar down - it screams! It's just a shame that work gets in the way, that and family life lol!

I'll certainly give it a go once I'm used to the amp, my other amp is a Peavey classic, and doesn't record too well. I think once I've mastered the amp I'll lay something down. I'll keep you posted sir!

Brilliant film that, can't tell you what it's like to own this signature Tele. Wilko is my total icon, I play a lot like him too i.e minus a pick. Such a shame about him getting cancer though, I've met him a few times, lovely bloke! My mate went to see him last week at the Half Moon pub supporting Norman Watt-Roy, he said he looked great. Would love to see him again though, with luck.

Break a leg lad, I hope you get the chance! An online mate of sorts of mine is the author and muso Charles Shaar Murray, who's apparently very tight with Wilko, which is how I (being an 'Murrican), heard of him. I had heard of the band, since I am big into punk rock and into musicology and musical history, but they were never big here in the States.

As a (throat) cancer survivor meself, I'm praying for a miracle for him.

Cheers.

Thanks, yeah. My wife just told me Norman Watt-Roy is doing a gig in Derby next Thursday, so I'll be going along to that one. I like Charles Shaar Murray, really knows his stuff, he does a lot of TV here, were he gives his views on certain bands etc, he certainly knowledgeable about a lot of rock music in general. I don't think Dr Feelgood did more than one tour in the USA with Wilko as guitarist, but I might be wrong. As much as I like the early Feelgood stuff, I like his solo stuff a bit more. There is certainly a direct link from the 60s to Feelgood to British Punk, Feelgood certainly had the aggression that was later infused into punk.

Welcome to the forum Steviecaster I agree with you, work is the curse of the leisure class. That's a cool looking guitar and amp combo,it has a real 50s vibe.

Thank you sir. My time playing is a bit limited, but bills have to be paid, and food on the table - playing guitar is my main vice. I've got 2 guitars (Both Tele's), that'll do me I try to be as minimal as possible, keeps my wife happy too lol! Yeah, I agree a real 50s look going on, the pics are not so good, as I was a bit on the tired side when I took them - so they a re really shakey. The amp is pretty good, I've been going through the presets today, there exactly 100 if I'm right.
