Hey all,

Hopefully you've been able to take a look at the new-and-improved additions to our Vintage Hot Rod series of instruments. From the onset there are certainly a lot of visually striking features that distinguish our new Vintage Hot Rod Stratocaster® and Telecaster® guitars from our older models, such as vintage-style tuners and period-correct, comfortable new neck profiles. But look a little closer and you'll find there's more than meets the eye.

For example, many of our Vintage Hot Rod models feature innovative S-1™ switching that allows you to activate the bridge pickup in all switch positions, including 3, 4 and 5.

The Vintage Hot Rod ’50s Telecaster and ’60s Telecaster models also come with an intonatable three-barrel saddle bridge, giving you even more sonic versatility for every performance.

And for the very first time, we’re also offering these new instruments with a vintage-style compound-radius (7.25”-12”) fingerboard for easy playability and string bending all the way up the neck.

Take a look at all of our new Vintage Hot Rod instruments and let us know your thoughts!

So you can do a compound-radius but you can't add a 22nd fret? I would like to see a 50's Strat only routed for single coils, vintage bridge, a one piece maple neck with a straight 9.5" radius, 22 frets, soft V neck and Kluson tuners. I guess the closest thing would be the Clapton strat...

These are very cool. Like the compound radius idea on a 7.25 fretboard. Feel the 7.25 radius gets a lot of "Bad Press" so to speak. They're all good if their set up right but, the compound radius def makes it easier to get it there :)
How about a 24 fret version? That would be serious!

Love the three pickup Tele with the comfort contour on the back.

Take the S1 switch off and I'll buy one.

7.25 radius on a P bass is where it's at! Nice basses, but I'd rather see an American Vintage single coil P reissue. A 51 would be nice. We had the 57 and 62 RI for 30 years. (which are phenomenal, btw. I love my 57RI) However, I think a boat was missed by simply moving forward a year here, and then releasing a "hot rod" p/j. Why not a Hot Rod Stacked Coil 51 Precision Bass with two Single Coil P pups in the mid and bridge positions with a 3 way Tele switch? The compound radius is nice if that's your thing, I guess. However, it's not like there aren't multiple P/J basses in the line up already. It'd be nice if us Single Coil P lovers could get an american made reissue inbetween the 1k dollar import, and 5k dollar CS model.

As the owner of a Vintage Hot Rod '52 Tele I can attest to the fact that it is one of the most incredible Tele's I have played except for an original '70 Rosewood Tele that a buddy of mine bought new.The Duncan mini-'bucker is just fabulous and really adds to the versatility of the guitar. As soon as I picked it up, I knew that I had to have it.I imagine that if I were to try out one of the new Vintage Hot Rod models,I'd be in the same position. The Strat would be right up my alley as too would be the 3 pup Tele and the Jazz Bass.I will have to steer clear of my local Mom and Pop store, because if they bring in these models I will have no other choice but to try them out and then I would be guaranteed to be dragging at least one of them home and no doubt causing another GAS triggered bout of marital or should I say-martial strife?
