For those of you who name your guitars, what are their names, and where did you get the names from?

'97 Jazz Bass, teal green - Named "Leo" (If you can't figure out why his name is Leo, I think you're an idiot)

'99 American Standard Strat, Olympic White - Elizabeth - Named after this girl I had a huge crush on around the time I bought the guitar, sadly, we never dated.

'08 Deluxe Nashville Tele, Candy Apple Red - Shannon - So named because the Tele is a fiery red head, and when I think redheads, I think Irish, and Shannon makes for a nice Irish name.

(as a bonus, I figured out after I named the Tele Shannon, that my two guitars now make Shannon Elizabeth  )

I call mine "The Strat", "The Yamaha" and "The Acoustic". But I had a cat for 15 years that I just called "Cat", so that shows you how imaginative I am when it comes to naming things. If it wasn't for my ex, I'd have probably named my son "Kid". :P

Squier Jagmaster= Jager-Master
Squier Standard Fat Telecaster, Antique Burst= Dirty Women
Squier Standard Fat Telecaster, Vintage Blond= Voodoo Action
Squier Standard Fat Telecaster, Metallic Black= Black Cat
Squier Standard Telecaster, Black & Chrome= Chrome Kitty
Squier Custom Telecaster= Hessian
Squier Standard Telecaster (Esquire wiring & PU config), Candy Apple Red= Cherry Bomb
Hohner L-75 (Les Paul copy)= Crook
Scheter Damien 6= Damien 666

For my Squiers, the names are usually derived fromt the sticker (or stickers) I have on them. The Hohner has just been called CROOK ever since I cut stickers up to spell crook over the Hohner logo when I was in college. The Schecter is just sort of named after a luchadore I like.

Just out of curiosity, why have 3 fat teles in different colors? Seems redundant (tonewise)

My first one sort of possessed me  ...seriously. Plus I just really liked the first one I bought, then a month or so later I found out they discontinued the Fat Teles, so I got the other 2 at great Closeout prices because it would be the last times I could get a brand new Fat Tele since they stopped making them when the Squier VM Tele with a similar PU config was introduced. Plus while it may seem redundant, I really like the tone of those guitars, and many guitarists out there just like one model or type of guitar and use it more than any others, like Danny Gatton, Albert Lee, Rory Gallagher, Yngwie, Ritchie Blackmore, and the list goes on I am sure....and many of those players have several of their particular guitar of choice...

Nobody ever asked Leo why he had similar guitars in different finishes...

Just something interesting I saw in the picture of Leo with all the guitars.

There's a sunburst strat (pretty sure it's a strat) near the very left edge of the picture that has 3 pickups, and the bridge pickup isn't staggered. It's parallel with the other 2 pickups??

That might be one of the long scale 6 string "bass" guitars they make or have made in the past or a baritone model, cause if you sort of hold your fingers to mark the length of the neck of the Tele next to it, then put it over the neck of the guitar in question, that neck is longer...
