How do you post pictures on this forum?

go to an image storage site such as http://www.imageshack.us (there are others out there such as http://www.photobucket.com - but i prefer imageshack as you don't have to register)

anwyays go there, browse to your image, if it's too big you might want to check off 'resize image' and select a size, then hit 'host it'.

it will come back with a bunch of different urls, copy the 'hotlink for forums (1)' one and paste it in the message body.

thanks for the tip

this is a really small one, but the text in the 'font size' drop-down box pretty much impossible to read as the default text is black and the background is dark grey.

Hey guys,

Just wanted to let you know I've been having a problem with the site logging me in and out each time I switch screens. For instance if I logged into the forum I would show as logged in at the index. Then when I clicked a section of the forum it would come up but the site would view me as a visitor. Then when I went to pick a topic to read I would show as being logged back in, but when I wanted to post a reply I would be unable as once that screen was up I would be back to being a visitor. (it gets better, tust me lol)

So after the past half and hour of getting reallllyyy irritated, I decided to use Internet Explorer instead of AOL. (which is what I've been on as I remember from other forums that the browser is sometimes an issue.)
Now everything is working fine on IE, not sure if there's anything you guys can do as it's more of a browser problem then a Forum problem, but thought I should post this incase anyone else is having the same problem using AOL and can read this.

Sorry for the longwindy-ness...

D

I seem to be having a problem with the cookie settings also, when I check off 'Log me on automatically each visit' the setting doesn't seem to hold as the next time I head over here I need to re-enter it.

This does not surprise me with AOL... There are countless reasons why I wouldn't recommend using *their* browser to surf the Net

However, I do appreciate you letting us know about this. I am pretty sure we know why the cookie thing is becoming a nasty thorn in our side. Let me discuss this problem with Brad and see what we can do.

Hey Brad, you've got a broken link. Nice graphic, but broken.
It from the thread in the Let's Talk Custom Shop forum.
The url is misspelled.

No prob. On a related note, shouldn't the Antiqua Strat have an Antigua finish? I know, I know, it's an aquired taste.

they should start a bugs forum, that would be easier to sift through.

I *believe* the bug wherein folks were seeing "Welome, Visitor" and the login prompt at the top of the page despite already being logged in to the Forum area is now fixed. Let's see if that's the case ...

Well, actually if it's been working for you for a few days you've just been getting lucky. These forums are hosted on a load-balancing *cluster* of webservers and that has introduced a few additional complications that your "grandfather's" discussion forum will never experience. :) Long story short, the aforementioned bug was occurring when folks were getting switched off to another server mid-session but I believe I've gotten it fixed now.
