you guys probably already know about these, but i'll post 'em here just incase

1) no matter what you choose in the country selection it will revert back to United States of America

2) the top 'log in' bar doesn't seem to be linked to the forums - even after you are logged in on the forums themselves it still shows:

Username: / Password: / Log In

Welcome, Visitor! / Member Since: --/--/----

dunno if this helps or not...?

Aware of (and investigating) both issues but thanks for the reports.

you guys have to keep in mind that this is a brand new set of forums. There are going to be bugs in the beginning, and fender seems to already be doing a pretty good job of fixing things quickly (i had some of those bugs mentioned and they already seem to be fixed) Props to fender

i definitely understand that, i work in the IT industry and know that bugs should always be expected. the main reason i posted them is just incase they didn't know about them - like the country one they might not have caught because they're all based in the states.

but the second bug i posted about already seems to be fixed - awesome work fender web team! keep it up!!!

Just had another one - attempted to post an image and got a list of mySQL errors. Hit preview, then post and it posted fine.

Not exactly a bug, but could we either upload or link to external avatar images? Kinda handy since none of the existing library resembles any of my kit or character (<--- is the best approximation).

The country selection bug is fixed! The bug wherein usernames are occasionally not propagating up to the top of the site template is still popping up on occasion and I've truthfully yet to determine the precise set of circumstances that are leading to it -- the investigation continues.

The MySQL error doesn't concern me too much unless it starts becoming a very regular thing. Keep me updated on that.

Also, we'll probably open a separate forum for this sort of thing pretty soon just so this kind of feedback doesn't get lost in the mix.

Well done with the bugfix.

You could sticky this for a few weeks until most of the issues have gone.

BTW not exactly a bug, but would it be possible to set the software so that either the delay before you go forward to view a new post in the thread is shorter, or there is a switch in the user profile for 'automatically view new post in thread'? I like to see what I wrote in context, and sometimes someone will post immediately before you.

go to an image storage site such as http://www.imageshack.us (there are others out there such as http://www.photobucket.com - but i prefer imageshack as you don't have to register)

anwyays go there, browse to your image, if it's too big you might want to check off 'resize image' and select a size, then hit 'host it'.

it will come back with a bunch of different urls, copy the 'hotlink for forums (1)' one and paste it in the message body.
