I have 3 sons so alot of my picks get washed on a pretty regular schedule. I try and keep them in a film canister with my case. If I can't find them there I can find them on the dryer or worse yet vaccum cleaner bag.

My picks used to be like boomerangs. I'd lose it but it would always come back. Now not so much. I had one pick I used until I ground the tip down pretty badly so I go these snarling dogs picks with the grip on them. now I find I hate the grip (it does not compare to the feel of a good Fender medium) and I also found I've lost those at a high rate. I got them in march, I am now down to about 3 or 4 from the pack.

Whew, I thought I was having multiple senior moments and just forgetting where I left my picks. I am relieved that picks disapearing happens to others.

That's a good idea. I usually keep mine in the picture thingy in my wallet.

Same here. I keep one in my wallet just in case there is a gravitational attraction between myself and a guitar store. :0)

Last time I moved I found a dozen or so that I thought I had lost. They turned up everywhere. On a side note, last time when all my picks ended up broken or lost I started using pennies. Not only did I not lose them but they made an interesting tone when playing.

I used a quarter a for a while after seeing the Meatpuppets do it.

my housemate is very good at leaving his picks in random places, so a quick 2 second search will find one.
i even found one in the shower yesterday..... :?

If I get up to do something for a quick minute, I usually always put the pick in my front pocket. That way I always know where it is, and can save time looking for it. Also.......just in case I forget my own system....I use pearloid white ones, so they stand out against other color backgrounds, and are easier to find.

They just seem to turn up with a sock now and then. Often not even
my sock!

Just think about how many 'socks' you've lost.
