Some of you guys may know me from a few years ago, since then I decided to join up seriously, no bull crap, just music talk and probably videos, I still have that same YouTube channel, I have a soundcloud clip of my newest amplifier, a Vox TB35C2 :) https://soundcloud.com/nathan-brown-3/s ... -afternoon , there a nice distorted sound with my LTD M300FM, this amp has a master volume but no headphone jack, so just balls to the wall playing and harmonics in there somewhere too, I'm selling it soon after I get my first Marshall half stack for my birthday next year in May, here is my current setup in a text diagram, LTD->Vox V845 Wah->Boss SD-1 overdrive->Vox TB35C2 that i won in a raffle, I'll put the amp as my profile pic, my Squier is getting hella beat up as well ever since I took it up again, it's never been in a case, my LTD gets the case treatment, my Squier doesn't :) but once I get my Marshall half stack head and cab with a Fender Strat that I may save up for, and I am willing to take any crappy gear and make it sound good :) I got a Ross amp for free and it works fine :) I ran it through my mates 4x12 cab and it sounds good as a head, I might turn it into a head actually! Small head, big cabs! I'm shaping my own sound after Hendrix's live stuff, but with a bit more gain :), so how is everyone doing? And can anyone help with seeing what pickups I can put in a Squier affinity Strat? It's a HSS, but I wanna upgrade all the pickups and hardware, maybe add a Floyd and a new neck :) any tips on necks as well?

I don't know, but meh, I reckon any amp or guitar is good for me, I love crappy ones even. I'll take anything off the side of the street. Even broken Ashton electrics, I have an old black Ashton that needs a lot of work but it's going to be a custom guitar once it's done :)

Yeah, I've done well on other forums, it was good that I took a break anyway, what tips can you give me on pickups? I want to upgrade my Squier's humbucker and single coils configuration to a HSH configuration like those superstrats but with low output single coil and high output humbuckers with a switch in between to activate all the pickups in series, it would give a nice tone if I had nice pickups, I just usually take anything and make it better, I actually make my guitar scream in the good way with my Vox, it seems to like it with the SD-1 on it

My Squier definitely has a swimming pool route, I checked below it after I cleaned the insides with a rag and, maybe I'll just go the mid output bucker way and get a mid output single coil in the middle, I will keep the pots original since they are pretty good pots, not scratchy at all, anyway I have to wait for someone else to reply, but I'm on an iPad since my PC is dead, I'll get on photo bucket and post an image here of my setup :)

Nothing much, I'm shaping my own tone this time with very few effects and bells and whistles lol

I'm basing my sound off a distorted Vox and a boosted OD on it for 80s lead tones ala EVH

Thanks Buddy, I am also thinking of chopping my MG15FX into a head and running it through 2 4x12s and getting a useable sound out of it, but I want this SF Bandmaster that is on eBay right now, it comes with the foot switch and guess what I am going to use it for! A surf amp without the reverb haha, I might add the vibrato of the Bandmaster to my sound :)

He did not ask about your MG15FX.
