Hi all.

I’m trying to learn this song a bit more precise than I have it. Got this movie for my kids and fell in love with the guitar on this song so thought it’d be a fun song to do that they can maybe sing along with and spark an interest in playing, singing, and music in general. I can play it fairly proficient in open D tuning but some of the hammer-ons particularly in the intro don’t sound as precise because when I pull off to leave the string open (as it sounds to me in the recording), its not the correct pitch and thus have to pull off and hammer on the 7th fret of another string with the tuning I’ve set up. I had found a comment somewhere from Alex Mandel (the composer and guitar player) where he states: “hint to guitar players, Capo on the second Fret”. So I tried open G with a Capo on the second Fret to give me open A but that threw the whole thing off. The only thing I can think of is he is perhaps using a half Capo.

Anyway… if anyone has any interest in taking a listen and seeing if they can crack the open tuning code I would be most grateful. I can get by with open D but I’m a bit anal and the pull off is just bugging me

thanks very much
