We're ARE special and very strongly abhor lack of courtesy. The subconscious allows itself to be released through anonymity. Perhaps more realistically released through anus. I have a sense of which Forum you're referring to and you are certainly not losing anything by staying away.

I've been a moderator on a musician's forum before and this board seems to abide by the Springsteen lyric:

"We take care of our own"

I've only met 3 people on these boards so far, but have had lots of off-board interaction and this community is one of the most dedicated and classiest that I've ever seen...it's the members that make it this way!

Nah!! It's just Sunday, and Mike is in one of super magnanimous moods   All kidding aside.....those of you who did not come on board when this Forum was launched may not be aware of the tremendous support given to Mike, very early on, during an extreme period of need. Don't know if you'll find that kind of spirit anywhere else, and we deserve a serious 'high fives' to each other for it.

I can't tell you how many times I've searched for 'that thread' and came up empty. :?

Seems that it just vanished...

But really, we take care of our own, then and now!

Perhaps Brad cleaned out 'Fibber McGhee's' closet. You few who know what I'm talking about should remain silent. 8)

I had to Google that.
Seriously, Doc?
Are you that old that you remember radio shows?

Monday, Wedneday, and Friday nights, on WJZ 770 [which became WINS for a time] was broadcast the Lone Ranger, sponsored by Cheerios. The radio used to sit under my bed. There was Superman, Straight Arrow, The Green Hornet, Sgt Preston, Sky King, The Fat Man, Foreign Intrigue, Inner Sanctum. Just old [71 this past August], enough to have been able to bite off a piece of that old, venerable, and wonderfully mind-expanding form of entertainment, as TV was in ascendancy. Some things should be heard, and not seen.

Have you ever felt like you don't fit in with an online community? I am not referring to Fender Lounge, i feel very in touch with our community here. I am part of another guitar forum and it just seems like any time i post or anything i comment on is either vilified or ignored. it is very strange, i know a fair amount about guitars and feel that i give solid and respectful replies. It just feels like i really don't belong there. It is odd because in everyday life i am very normal and well adjusted and can get along/converse with most everyone. I am thinking i should just stop posting at the other place, or maybe i am just overly sensitive?

I think sometimes when you just state a fact that cant be argued with that's what you have.
There is simply nothing more that can be added to it.
I think as humans and performers we expect our colleges to all applaud and give us standing ovations each time we bestow them with a revelation.
I know I catch myself in this mode sometimes.
If you feel you are being ignored by everyone try asking a question if it doesn't get answered you might have rubbed people the wrong way at one point. oh well ;)
If you enjoy posting there, keep up the good work! :)

Honestly, have no idea whether or not I fit in on this forum. I do like the forum. Find myself beaming in and scoping threads etc...
Think one of the problems with forums is things can be taken out of context easily. The way something "reads" is not always what someone was trying to get across. Can seem snarky when not meant to be that way.
Anyways... Keep Rockin'

Yeah I think when it lacks your emotions expressions wit and charm it always gonna miss your mark.
They way you read it is not how someone else does.
But I like to just say what I want and don't think about what responses will be like because there are lots people doing the same at the same time.
So that's the beauty of the whole deal.

Simple fact of the internet - Trolls will be Trolls.
In places where people lack the maturity to deal with (i.e. ignore) them they tend to multiply.

+1...I've said same here for years. You craft your words carefully because those elements of conversation which Donny cites are missing.
