I actually just got into learning some of his pieces. For a while I was more into learning the "metal" kind of music and I realized that I was tired of learning that kind of music and started to pick up the blues. It is very challenging but fun at the same time. I hope I get the chance to see EC in concert. That would be awesome!

Read the posts that came after yours and I'm sure you'll understand why I feel the way I do. I guarantee you'll never be the same.
You'll never play or feel the same about your playing or any other guitar player; it's that important that you go if you should get the chance to but hey most all of his concerts are sell outs.
I'm fairly sure both crossroad concerts were NOT sellouts; but the first one is over 8X platinum in sales here in the US alone so it can't be too bad...

To really get into and appreciate Clapton, and even moreso with BB King, play what they've written. Clapton has written some really amazing stuff, full of Easter Eggs. Like, if you slow down the "Cocaine" solo - and, ahem, I slow it down quite a bit usually - and then you play it with some rhythm it's freaking amazing - it's the signature riff worked into the solo in innumerable different ways. Amazing stuff. Play the chords to Layla and they will break your heart. There's deep layers to this stuff.
