So who came up with the terms?

When you strum with your right, your a right handed guitar player.

Well if you really think of it. Your left hand is doing all the chords and creative stuff,

Why isn't that considered Left Handed Playing instead of right? I mean your left hand is doing all the important work and your right is just moving up and down.

Can we say it is the left hand fingers do the creative stuff and chords not the hand.

Left hand just follow the neck. Easy job.
Picking , solo , and strumming is the hard job .

Left-handed, right-handed poeple can do almost same thing with there fingers , right or left , not with their hand .

I've always considered the dominant hand to be the one that picks notes and plays the rhythm, far harder skills IMO than the fretwork. It would explain why the vast majority of RH'ers can learn to chord very well.

Does he get two girls after the show for that?
And I suspect he uses the same mail-in hair dresser as Jeff Beck...

There's also archery. Back when I did that, I much preferred using a "left-hand" bow. I'm so right-handed that my left arm is rather weaker, and I could hold the bow much steadier with my right hand. That's called a left-hand bow.

For a guitar, I think the reason is different; a dexterous person will have more control of rhythm with his right hand, and a sinister person with his left.

Hockey sticks is based on the hand that generates most of the force. The hand you have lower on the stick is the one that generates most of the force behind your shots/passes. That being said there are far more left shooting hockey players than there are right. This is because when you take one hand off your stick, you end up with it in the top hand (for left shooters, this is their right hand). Typically this means that you end up with the stick in your dominant hand for things like poke checking.
I'm left-handed but shoot right-handed in hockey.

As for guitars, I find that the hard part is the strumming and picking. I originally tried to learn right handed but couldn't because I couldn't strum properly with my right hand.

I'm left handed, but play guitar right handed. Playing left handed just never felt natural to me. I'm so left handed that if it weren't for strumming and picking guitar I wouldn't even need a right hand.

+2. I'm a natural lefty. I started out playing guitar right handed but never really felt comfortable with picking until I later switched to playing lefty. Everything fell into place after that. Some lefties prefer to play right-handed (I'm guessing those are the folks who are a little more ambidextrous) while others prefer prefer playing left-handed. It's a matter of choice. All I can say is, I'm glad there are at least a few left-handed models out there to choose from or I probably would've given up playing out of frustration years ago.

Or ended up like Albert King, playing a right-handed guitar flipped over, for big time bending.

Welcome to the Forum Hak2235. I'm fairly certain who ever thought of right and left hand tools/instruments along with the terms right handed or left handed did not do so to confuse players but to help them choose the correct tool/instrument for their strength. Wiki says: " Globally, roughly 12% of men and 10% of women are left-handed". Hope this helps.

Left handed, but play right handed.

Never liked the feeling of it, never liked the look of the guitars either.

I drum right handed, but can use whichever foot to control bass. My left is actually stronger as well.

I have internal some wiring issues.
