Thank you,

I was drooling after the SF Twin Reissue a lot, but my concerns are about the size and weight of that beast.

Someone suggested me a Princeton: I don't really know the differences between Twin and Princeton preamps.

The main difference is 70watts and 65 pounds. The 68 Custom Princeton also has no vintage clean channel.

The silverface and blackface reissues sound like shite when they 'breakup'. How about an A/B test with any reissue and real blackface or silverface amp.

Seriously, how much would it cost Fender to build an amp, hand-wired, decent caps, carbon comp resistors and good speakers. Many boutique amp companies are doing it successfully and the amps cost the same or a little more than the reissues. Fender did it with the Tweed amps and they sounded pretty good. I also noticed they're using Celestion V series speakers in the 68' reissues. I love the sound of Fender amps with Vintage 30 speakers. Just my eight cents worth.
