I searched the boards and didn't find an answer....so I'll ask here.

When I post pictures from my Photobucket account...is it typical for ME to be able to click on the posted pic and be directed to my Photobucket....or can anyone and everyone click on my pics and have access to my Photobucket account?

I have made my entire Photobucket account private AND set it to scramble titles...yet when I post a pic, I am still able to click on the photo (not talking about right click and check Properties...talking about actually clicking on the photo and getting directed to my Photobucket file).

Is this common? If I post a pic and I can click on it, can you as well?

I think it depends on how you are linking to them.
I insert the IMG codes and there are no hot links embedded in the pics.
People can still find the URL by right clicking the pic and looking at it's properties.
Don't put up any pics on your Photobucket account that you do not wish to become public, such as serial numbers, license plates, home addresses, embarrassing shots of you in your underwear or snorting lines. If people want to see your other pics besides the one you posted they will find a way.

Thank you.

I THINK I got it figured out...I had to "uncheck" the link back option in my settings.

Lets try:

Yep...it worked!

Now just figure out how to re-size them. Darn thing is like a postage stamp.

Sorry....this thread is probably boring to most (my bad)....but I can also see where it might be helpful to others.

I use stand-alone imaging software to edit my photos prior to posting. Some camera companies offer proprietary programs or you can use a commercial offering. I have MS "Photo-Draw", a program that was never marketed and eventually abandoned. It's similar in most respects to Photoshop.

Is that a "drag and drop" type thing, or would I have to "import or upload" the photo from another area of my computer?

I download my raw photos into specifically-named folders on my computer created for that very purpose. Then I run each pic through the editing process, re-title the edited image, then save it back into the original folder. After examining the edited and presumably improved photo, if it looks the way I intended, I delete the original raw file to conserve storage space on my hard drive. From there the pics are e-mailed to friends and family or uploaded to Photobucket for posting.
