A Squier '51 is almost like that - Strat body, Tele neck, 2 pickups - a bridge humbucker and single coil strat pickup at the neck.

Here's a short demo of the Squier '51 pickups - not me -

PS The Fender Custom Shop made some of these last year and charged an arm and a leg for them. Check this out - http://www.themusiczoo.com/FenderMasterbuilt_JohnCruz_Custom51_VintageBlonde_JC577.html

I paid $100 for my Squier'51.

With that humbucker, I wouldn't call the guitar in the link a Strat or a Tele. The most distinctive tones for both a Strat and a Tele are their uniquely different single coil bridge pickups. Put a humbucker on either guitar makes no sense to me. Like buying an SG or Les Paul with single coils.

He didn't say they look alike. They're both strat/tele mixes. When I first opened this thread I thought it was going to be about the guitar Sanwich posted. I had never seen the '51 Squier.

I personally think that whatever that 'thing' is, is quite disgusting.
Damn you Squier
