Make a Pandora channel based on Dick Dale and enjoy the Fender tone goodness.

Also, I stand by Pandora, which remains--for now--superior to iTunes' new "radio."

Here is why:

1. Apple's new 7.0 is full of *major* bugs that are not even addressed by the illuminati media's articles identifying only 5 of them, such as the music player is funky!!! Half the time it fails to play, fails to respect when you hit the pause button!!!

2. The radio function is slow to start and sketchy....even with good internet connection. Pandora loads up and runs better.

3. It was hilarious to see the Paris Hilton/Kim Kardashian types tweeting (I read about this; I'm not on twitter) "so sorry Pandora it was a good run" because they, like all women in our society today younger than 45, are sheep who automatically run to what their false god Apple gives them.

The following are incontrovertible facts:

Apple's new iOs is messed up. Even songs downloaded to the phone have trouble playing. The radio system is a joke and far inferior to Pandora. The layout is inferior.

I hope Pandora survives. I still like Pandora better. (yes I do support them as best I can...I pay the $36 a year to have no commercials).

Has anyone else w/ iphone and 7.2 noticed this????? I'm sure they will get it corrected but right now the radio thing is virtually unusable...I'm sitting here w/ strong internet...it's not the internet...and itunes radio struggles to run. and if you finally get it to play a song...you better live with it because if you decide to skip or change channels....forgetabout it.....5 more minutes of silence while it tries to load.

supposedly itunes radio has access to 75 million songs while pandora has only 1 million....that could be part of the problem. pandora has plenty and loads better

awesome. thanks. i own this track. it's on any one of a number of his greatist hits albums. (yes this version with SRV)

everyone should own a dick dale greatest hits album for playing by the pool and also the 2 albums he released in 1993 and 1994 feeding off of the new fame from the pulp fiction movie....awesome!!!!

I agree with everything you posted here!

I'm a longtime Pandora user and there used to be a forum
member named Cherokee here and we used to share channels.
Dick Dale is on my "Hot Guitar Radio" station along with
many others. Feel free to check it out:

Have a great day!

Thanks. Cool station. Yeah I used to have stations like that (still do I guess) but lately I have taken to not "adding variety" so I really hone in on what I want to hear at the moment...so I have a Dick Dale channel that really plays all instrumental surf, then a different instrumental guitar channel is based on Santana's "bella donna", another is like Gary Hoey stuff, even Danny Gatton gives you more a "country twang" but instrumental "jazz" type, of course one for Grant Green/Tal Farlow jazz guitar.

I have used Pandora since mid 2010 and I gotta say, whatever is going on with the record industry and "nobody buys" anymore....artists and labels have made money off of me because I actually use pandora to discover new stuff (or stuff that is new to me) and then I buy it...I have bought a ton the past 3 years.

in fact I even sometimes skip or thumb down stuff on pandora even though I actually like it just to force it to make me hear something new.

i do not that itunes radio has a "tuner" that lets you slide it from hits to variety to "discovery" not sure how sensitive it is....I've still been listening to pandora

apple's deal is also very much tailored like everything else in this society to pleasing sheep brainwashed girls who listen only to katy perry and miley cyrus (who have never heard of dick dale or danny gatton, literally)

it is clear that apple not really expecting folks to use iradio like we use pandora--to create stations based on stuff like instrumental surf guitar....it keeps telling me "can't make a station with that song try again"

pandora is really good as you know at letting you make INSTRUMENTAL only stations, which I like...thumbs down 2 songs with words and it gets the hint.

I have found it impossible on apple's radio to make an instrumental santana station...it only wants to play the pop song he made with michelle branch. lol it's never heard of "bella donna" lzolzozlozlzlzo

Ha! I do that too - thumbs down to hear the next one. I'm not
on iOS 7, very happy still with iOS 6.

Of course it's full of bugs. What operating system when released isn't?

They will be ironed out as they are discovered and new patches are released. Can't expect it to be working perfectly straight off the bat.
