If I correctly understand the description of the automatic bias control, in addition to letting you set the bias a little hotter and cooler, this bias control also lets you run unmatched 6L6s. Is that correct?

Can the Super-Sonic 100 run any octal power tubes other that the 6L6?

You might get away with using JJ 6V6S's since they're designed for hotter plate voltages. Their plate-to-plate resistance is different from the 6L6GC so you might also consider adjusting your speaker impedance load accordingly.
