Alright, my 18th is in less than a month (by one day too, November 3rd)

I'm gonna go to GC and try to grab an Orange Micro Terror head. (if possible, I always get cash) The gain sounds so much better than the ol' Excalibur. The way it sounded cranked and the price ($149.99) and the fact that it's tube pre-amp sold me.

Now, there's only one connection to plug into a cab. It works with up to a 16 ohm cab, and even with a 4x12.

My 4x12 (which is actually pretty good, loaded with Celestions) has 2 jacks to plug into, and so does the Excalibur, which is why they were matched.

Is there any way for this to work, other than having my cab rewired?

20W with 4x12"? No, don't do it.
Orange are great amps (I have one), but unless you plan on only playing on volume 3-4 or so, it needs smaller speakers to drive.
And, indeed, I think Orange is possibly the best sounding amps for smaller elements. Blindfolded, you'd swear that it was a much bigger cabinet.

Really then explain to me why the Tiny Terror sound fantastic through a 2x12 cab or a 4x12 cab but yet it's only 15 watts. Must be magic.

Alright, so my cab is literally wired like 2 2x12s.

2 separate jacks and everything. The date codes on the speakers say 1988, even though the cab is supposedly a 1989 model. The wiring doesn't look shoddy, but there is repair to a break that happened to one wire. (Even then, it's cleanly soldered and wrapped tight in electrical tape, the guys dad who gave it to me most likely did it.)
