The Dimensions need an extra fret.

Unfortunately Fender has no plans to make a 22-fret version.

No they don't need an extra fret,.... 21 frets is fine & honestly how often would would you be playing in the 21/22 fret area,....... Jaco, Geddy, Steve Harris , Marcus Miller, Paul McCartney, ETC all have had no problem making 20 fret basses sing & if it's good enough for them then a 20 or 21 fret Fender Bass is good enough for the rest of us,.... please stop constantly finding something to critisize with Fenders offerings ...it's getting old & tiring.

I had nothing negative with Fender's offerings.

I simply thought Fender bringing back the additional 22nd fret in a future incarnation of the Dimension basses because the American Deluxe basses were 22-fretters for many years.

The Dimensions are much better without a pickguard.

A 6-string version with a 2-octave fretboard and a 4+2 tuner arrangement would be cool.

Love this new bass! The wood finish is really nice... is it on any other of Fender's models?

Seems to be similar to the back of my Tele Select HH. It's nice - like the old candy cola (bring it back!), but with the wood shining through.
