Lately I've been trying to wrap my head around computer generated music (techno/dance), and after listening to artists like Avicii, and Swedish House Mafia, I got a ridiculous idea.
I tend to focus on blues music when playing guitar and writing songs, but I'm about to go out and buy a MIDI keyboard to learn how to create music on the computer. This led to my idea ... what if I combine techno, and blues?! I know, I know, it sounds stupid. That being said, I feel like it's kind of a cool idea. It's like taking two complete opposites and putting them together.
This may have already been done by some people, or it may not have been. All I know is that I plan to try it!

Sorry for the terrible sentence structure, and jumbled post. I've had a long day, and I' exhausted.

Give it a go, the worst that can happen is you make something awful and you throw the project away!

But likewise you'll never get anything new and exciting if you don't give things like this a try.

Nick, there are dance remix's to rock songs. White Zombie's entire catalogue has gotten the treatment by many different DJ's. There might be remix's of blues rock tunes as well. If you listen to some of those it could help in constructing your own flavors for the style. Your idea doesn't seem crazy at all, 8)

I think that is a great idea!

I have recorded a few of my guitar licks and incorporated them into some music made on a computer, using samples, altered and mixed together. By the time i finished, it wasn't anything like blues, but it was fun. Out of the seven or so songs that I made, one in particular was pretty good (IMO), kind of a rock-techno thing. I'll try to upload it to YouTube so you can listen.

The thought sounds as tasty as a peanutbutter and sauerkraut sandwich to me, good luck.

When you link your dashboard, anyone clicking the link just sees their own dashboard. So yeah, that link doesn't work for anyone but you.

Didn't Moby do this in 1999 with his album "Play"?

Not quite electronic, more of a remix.
