Has anyone seen the show "Hardcore Pawn?"

I saw an episode today where some guy brought a 1950's Fender Stratocaster. I think the guys wanted over $20k. They took the guitar apart and the they found parts that were either from 1950 and 1952.

What do you think the value of the guitar is? Is this of value? Bottom line, they never reached a decision on buying the guitar.

I figured if there were parts that were not consistent with the year/make.....it has lost its value.

I haven't seen that episode yet, but I would call into question Stratocaster parts made three years before it's debut. If it was a neck or body date, then I am thinking someone went to great lengths to fake the guitar...again haven't seen the episode.

Not sure they got those parts dates right, because if it was a pot or something like that, then it wouldn't make a huge difference in price.

What parts didn't date right?

I think the whole Strat episode was a set-up to make the TV show more interesting.
Who in their right mind would take such a guitar to a pawn shop?

This was discussed here already. The Strat in question was loaned to the show. Keep in mind people these shows are for entertainment, 90% of these "reality" shows are BS. They are fun to watch sometimes, I like moonshiners a lot, but it's total bs, as is Pawn.
Here's the thread from last time, it explains this one in detail.
