Since the question is, "what is the stupidest movie you've ever seen?"
I'll say Napoleon Dynamite.
It may very well be the worst as well.

I don't think it was very stupid. The TS question to me seems more like a 'stupid' as in 'bad' but I'd describe Napoleon Dynamite as purposefully tedious. Not a bad film, well crafted, just misunderstood.

Or if you're talking 'stupid' as in '(un)funny' then something like Spaceballs would get my vote.

This is tough and I can't think of the worst one- I'll get back to you :) - however, Kevin Costner has got to be one of the most non emotional actors I've ever seen- can't understand how he got so big...

Why are you assuming it's a stupid movie if you've never seen it? It won or was nominated for several awards world-wide. I've never seen it either, but from what I've read, it's anything but stupid.

The original version of The Thing

I'm sorry, the stupidest movie is Plan 9 From Outer Space :?

It's a toss up between Sssssss (1973) and White Dog (1982).

I grudgingly accepted LotR to be a decent movie. My beef with it was the fact its a movie based off a book, which IMO is never a good thing, because it removes part of the power of the book by imposing premade imagery. Previous to the film whoever read the book would get a totally unique picture from their imagination, but now if someone reads the book they're instantly going to start off with what hte movies show, if you understand me.

Yes! My friend loves these stock, cheesy Sci-Fi channel movies but I hate them. The plot is about as variant as a Ford model T factory output and the actors, even the good ones they occasionally recruit, seem to have their acting skills sucked out into the 'Twilight Zone'.
