one of my favorite bands. Rory was (and still is) one of the greatest players ever. this time in his career was awesome (music wise). too bad that the industry ruined what would have been one of the greatest bands ever. i'm looking forward to the realese of the isle of wight show and i hope the five encores are on it. taste apparently stole the show. i'm glad you posted this video.

probably so. at least that's the word on Rory forums.they just haven't said when. likely something to do with rights and who gets what money. i hope it's not b.s. . it's a shame that there's not more footage of taste. both taste mk1 and mk2. both lineups were incredible IMHO. i love how raw they were. check them out at the Bilzen jazz fest 1969 on youtube, the audio is crap but you'll get the point. the irish werewolf was off the chain!

Huge Rory Gallagher fan.
As a kid in 1969, I liked him better than Clapton, Beck, and Page. I thought Rory was an incredibly unique talent.

I went on Youtube one night last week and watched videos of Rory for about an hour including my favourite cut "They Don't Make 'em Like You any More" .I hadn't listened to any of my Rory albums for some time and I'd forgotten just how incredibly fabulous a guitarist he was.I'll have to pick up some of his DVDs because he's not only amazing to listen to but is amazing to watch,it boggles my mind how he can play the most incredibly complicated riffs and make them look like child's play.I had the extreme luck and pleasure to be 2nd row centre when he played at our Uni and he was like a Whirling Dervish throughout the whole show, yet never missed a note or a beat.

a true performer. no doubt about that. when you watch him play you just feel better inside. no gimmics just true heart felt artistry. today's artists(i use that term very loosely) should take a lesson from him. your twitter feeds don't matter, this is what we want(put the pop and rap in file 13).

Rory is my favorite guitar player, without a doubt. His live solo albums are must-haves, but listen to "Catfish" on Taste's first lp and you'll hear one of the best Strat tones ever recorded.

Yeah, Taste were brilliant - Rory was among the very best musicians of his generation, and one of the best of all time.
