The Mustang modeling amp has a vibratone effect. I was trying to find out what that is supposed to be and found this pretty cool (long) article about it, if you're interested:

Interesting article. I have a Vibratone setting on my old Cyber-Champ.

Thanks!

Interesting article! Not sure I would want to lug one around though,...my HRD III amp
is plenty heavy enough for me.  If I add any effects at all to my playing,...it would be a tremolo pedal. I am working on a chord progression in my lessons that when you hear it,...it sounds like "House Of the Rising Sun". I would love to hear what that would sound like with a tremolo effect. Since we are on the subject of pedals,...any suggestions on tremolo pedals you can offer? :)

If you're looking for a rotating speaker simulator you can't beat this one.
Scroll down to watch the demo video.

Looks like a nice pedal and I like the effects! Just went back to the site and checked the price,...$299.00! I may have to settle for something like a Boss TR-2 tremolo pedal for now!
Any others I should look at?

I ordered mine direct from Strymon because that was when they first started making them and there were no dealers anywhere near me. It was $300 then too. There are still no Strymon dealers near me. I can tell you that it is rock solid and sounds amazing. Derek swears by the Tech 21 but when I tried it I wasn't as impressed as I am with the Strymon. There's also the Hughes & Kettner but that is REALLY pricey, coming in at around $600 or so.

Cool linkage to the vibratone. I have the effect on my SCX2 and it creates a sweet swirling effect.

Theres an old vibratone for sale on my local CL. Cool sound, but the lug around factor!!!
The boss rt-20 is a real nice simulator also.

You can find them on CL from time to time, but the Strymon is a real nice one.
I just use my old Univibe...works great for my needs.

Funny you should say that modwiz, just last night I discovered the vibratone effect on my super champ and I feel like a kid at Christmas. Sounds great on a low gain channel with a nice clean sound.
