I have an sg and I am considering a set of kinman humbuckers. I was wondering if anyone had any experience they want to share about kinman humbuckers or kinman single coils, what is your opinion of them? thanks!

I have heard from a buddy who is a really good guitarist about these pickups and with a little research I am getting a set of PAF astound humbucker pickups for my 02 crescent moon Gibson SG. I have a good feeling about them but time will tell. probably be a couple of weeks before they get here and I can put them in. SG has 490's right now.

No experience or exposure to the humbuckers but an acquaintance of mine plays his AVRI '57 Strat with a set of Kinman's through a beat-to-crap '62 Fender brownface Concert Amp. It sounds like frying bacon smells.

nice! that is what I keep hearing about them. it was between three pickups, dimarzio 36th, Seymour Duncan antiquities or the Kinmans. I have a set of the antiquities and although I really really like them a lot I was looking for something the same yet better or different. the 36's got my interest but in the end my curiosity got the better of me and I am trying the Aussie pups. I hope mine sound like frying bacon smells!
