Can anyone suggest a fairly affordable reverb pedal that has a TRUE spring/tube reverb sound? I can't play through my amp sometimes & have to plug straight into the board, so I need a great sounding reverb on a budget! Thanks !

Just my opinion, but I love the Boss, Fender '63 reverb pedal. :)

Lexicon MX200 rack unit has a really good "spring reverb" setting with adjustable "springiness". It's the low end of the Lexicon range, not very expensive multi-effect unit, does all the choruses, phasers, flangers and delays you're likely to need too.

Hi bbluestrat: I was interested to discover that in his last years Gary Moore was using a DigiTech Hardwire RV-7 reverb pedal, so I went and checked it out and by the standards of these things it's a nice one. If affordability is an issue it's one that's worth looking at, at any rate.

Cheers - C

I have the digitech that Ceri mentions bluestrat, lovely pedal IMO, it also has the Lexicon logo, never tried the unit Frank mentions got to be in the same ballpark I'd imagine, Lexicon chip I think in the Digitech
