Apple is getting many complaints about iOS 7 from what I'm hearing now including several complaining of headaches and motion sickness..

Blertles you make some relevant points, I must say though that I went from my iPhone 3G to an iPhone5, so that makes it in the region of 5 years useful lifespan of my old Apple phone.

Our consumer watchdog believe the normal lifespan of a phone is 7 years, however I personally have seen batteries start to deplete noticeably within 18months where people would start to enquire about new models or battery replacement. Not surprising, however I've never seen any high drain recharchable battery under constant use be used for 7years without depletion.

Truth be told, batteries have not got any better in the last 10 years at all.

The mobile phone business is massive. We are tempted by expensive, powerful devices but there are a huge majority of users that only make for basic use. Every year, they get bigger and better. The provider is there to supply a service and to stimulate consumer spending to keep the manufacturers in business.
I mean, you never see telco's give away or subsidise PC or laptop computers on fixed line broadband contracts.

Consumers are always tempted by the device and the power or status associated with. One thing that astounded me was that there are lots of people who may use less than 60mins per month, however they will sign to a plan that will give more than 400 mins and spend $120 per month just to get an iPhone for zero upfront. I've never heard any say to me "I'd rather pay cash in full for an open contract, because I will save more money".

I don't know about how it is in USA, but the difference here is $1200 per year for a free phone deal down here. Some people will pay a combined total of 2400 over 24 months, only to secure the phone. They have no regard to the plan they sign to, nor the penalty costs should they need to disconnect if financial hardship should arise.

oh cool now the color scheme is PINK with no way to change it great job.lzozloz

ok who the $@!& would want to pretend it's 1987 and take a photo as a square when one can take a full wide screen photo and crop to square later if desired?

now 2 swipes to get to panorama mode...used to be one touch on camera screen.

more bad change for the sake of change

not to mention numerous bugs already admitted by apple even as major as THE MUSIC NOT STOPPING when when pushes the pause button 33% of the time...not going to be good if I'm going somewhere where I need the MUSIC TO STOP.

texting...white letters on easter green background lzozlozlzlzl proven fact that white lettering is stupid and hard on eyes....another return to 1987 .

the overall thing reminds me of 1986 Miami Vice....the colors and everything.

I can even take a square pic like I did with my 1984 Kodac disc!!! sweet

Everyone is entitled to have their own opinion on which device or OS they prefer, and even the things they don't prefer about particular features. But why is it Android lovers are so hellbent?

Almost bought the iPhone but I'm not a big Apple fan either. Instead I left BlackBerry for a new htc Windows Phone. When I get a new computer it will most likely be running Windows 8 anyway.

I would avoid Windows 8 like the plague. It seems that MS gets it right with every other OS they launch.

Instead of going all the way back, XP was good, Vista (not), Win7 was good, Win8 (not) - just my 2 cents - or different strokes..most likely.

If you're using an Android or iOS phone, I highly
recommend this free app:

http://www.bandfriendapp.com/

Might be the way of the future?

News flash: I bit the bullet and upgraded my iPhone 4. I wanted to trade it in before it's value dropped too much (we waited too long for my brother's iPhone 3, which is now worth $10). I thought that I might miss my 4, but LTE is so much faster and there's so much more I can use my phone for. (A GPS that talks in the car is a big one.) I actually went for a new phone rather than think about upgrading my computer. With college, I practically live off my phone now, so I'm going to put it to really good use in the next couple of years!

I was playing around with this last night, it's very cool. I'd like to see more people in my area using it - might take a little time to catch on.

It's still a fairly new way of connecting with others for jams, gigs, etc. I'm guessing that it will catch on once that more people hear of it and try it. I don't like the auto-link to SoundCloud, but what the heck...

yep, Soundcloud is the only thing I didn't configure (I don't even have an account).

It would be cool if a lot of the forum members here joined too. I see some people post stuff other than ads for musicians. Someone has been posting pics of a guitar build.
