You can see a finger print on the tuner in the second picture

I love HD pics - because it is always interesting to me to see how other players set up their instruments, which is generally hard to see on normal guitar pics.

I don't seem to recognize the guitar with the Rosewood Fretboard...

Less Paul... ??

Is that some kind of cryptic Beatles message from the White Album..?? ;)

cheers!

Plenty of graphite on the Les Paul nut slots, by the look of it. Interestingly, not on the Strat, where if anything you'd think the trem would make it more necessary. Perhaps the Strat's slots are cut better.

Anyway. Nice pictures, moparguy. Your friend definitely has the shallow depth of field thing down to a tee.

Cheers - C

Really cool pics, moparguy. Thanks for sharing and thanks to your brother.

I had the same observation as Ceri about the graphite on the Les Paul. And along similar lines of string movement with the trem bar, it would appear from the second picture that the B string is not seated snuggly on the string tree. Hmm ... Maybe it's an optical 'delusion'?

Cheers!

Ha - good eyes! Gonna run into problems if you try bending behind the nut on that one!

Not sure if this was the kind of forensic scrutiny moparguy was hoping for...?

Cheers - C

Also, with locking tuners, don't have the string wound around 4-5 times - it will keep better in tune with a shorter slack.

moparguy; I'm curious why you have the stop tail piece on the LP higher on the bass side? I top wrap so I keep it tight to the body on both sides. Nice pics.
