Good morning friends!

It's a cool clear start to the day here in Blaine, Autumn is on its way....I have hot cup of coffee next to me and Jackson Browne is singing These Days.

Looks to be a busy weekend; I have been invited to play a benefit raising money to send kids to camp, we are playing 60's and 70's stuff. It will be great fun and this is my first real gig outside of church! Of course I am playing at church this weekend also which I always enjoy. Chores are all done for the weekend and I am looking forward to doing nothing but playing my guitar.

I hope everyone is well wherever you are on this spinning orb.....have a great day!

Beaubs

Good morning, all. Just like the man above said, it's a cool day here in the Heartland, too, only 42 degrees, the coolest it has been in months! Today I take down all the scaffolding on the back of the house and tuck it away for the winter. The ladders get put away as well and then, dare I say it, I have to get the snow blower out so I can run it to MN next week for my son to work on.

Once all of the above is accomplished, the afternoon is open, the wife's at my daughter's 150 miles north and she took the dogs with her.

I can do anything I want. What do I want to do?

Good morning all! First cup o joe, no work to do, no gigs to do, no recordings to finish, just enjoying the 60* F temp and sunny blue skies.

Heading to the west to catch Don 'Hotel California' Felder tonight and procrastinating on everything else. :D

What a nice refreshing way to start the day! Good morning all!!! I wish it was cool in Texas, but its still very much summer here. The wife is home, so I wont be playing, she has no appreciation for music of any kind. It's kind of funny, I play reasonably well but have light years to go.

If somehow I was blessed with the skills of a master guitar player, she would not be able to tell the difference, and its not because I'm good. In fact, she came home the other day while I was practicing, and I was lost. One of those days when I seem to have no idea how to form a chord or I'm searching for that lost chord. She thought I sounded great!

Have a happy day everyone!!

Mornin' all,
Like most of you have said, cool and comfortable , great sleeping weather. I'm off to G.C. later, need some new strings. So many G.A.S. related stories start that way ,don't they?

91 and partly cloudy. The usual semi-tropical forecast....scattered thundershowers developing in the afternoon and evening. We'll be keeping an eye on the eastern Atlantic for at least another 10 weeks for sure.

Well...if you go into a grocery store like I do, you'll be O.K. If you shop like my wife does, bring a credit card.

Morning all! Well evening now.

I've just started a new job where I finally don't have to work weekends so I've been having a well deserved chill out after working all week in London and listening to a bit of Dire Straits and giving my guitar some love.

Hope ya'll have a great weekend.

Hello Beaubs and Forum Loungers. It is late afternoon in Chicagoland and a lazy day it was. Ready for some guitar now. Beaubs, very cool that you're playing a benefit, and congrats on your first gig outside of church! :D

Happy final "official" day of summer.

First cup of coffee and watching the celebrations at Fenway
Park highlights from last night as the Bosox clinched the AL East division.

I'm going to try removing a shim or two on my Ovation Celebrity today for lower action. I'm still not real sure that I care for the acoustic sound, but plugged in with the onboard preamp it sounds pretty nice.

Have a good day!

Mornin' all,
Weather wise yesterday should have been the last day of summer,it was in the 80's and sunny. By contrast today is in the 70's, humid and overcast.
It's new strings all around this month, 2 guitars down, 3 to go.
Play 'em loud,
John.E
