Two things I see, looks like there is a Candy Apple Red finish showing through along the upper edge so it could be an old refin, or maybe a finish that faded really weird due to a screwed top coat. I think old refin.

I can't even tell what color it is supposed to be. If it was a multiple color application it is a refinish. The candy apple red didn't come along till much later, 1963 and even then was not ordered much right off the bat for dealer inventory due the "Custom Color" up charge. The pickguard looks intentionally aged. Be careful with that one.
