Hooray for Sienna Sunbursts!

I like being in this club. We should get t-shirts printed.

I love Sienna Burst but I also love Antigua-if that can be considered a burst.A whle ago I saw a Strat with a brilliant shade of green burst that was an incredibly beautiful colour,it was so brilliant that it looked luminescent .I don't know if it was a non factory job or not, someone posted it on FB just saying that they loved the colour.I hate it when they do that.

I the summer of 2008 Fender claimed the Sienna Burst was new and coming out in the fall.
(I thought they had done Sienna Bursts before, silly me)

I had a big project and I thought the best gift I could get myself was a Strat.
Sienna Burst was the right choice but nobody had the MIA-Strat in SSS-maple neck at the time (only humbucker-rosewood HSS style)
I ordered this sight unseen in Sept 2008 and took delivery on Nov 16, 2008
I love my SSS-Maple neck Sienna Burst.

Behold my 2008 Sienna Burst

Now that is one very pretty looking Stratocaster.

For the life of me I don't know why Fender use this finish so rarely on guitars. I think a Telecaster or a Jazz Bass would look great in Sienna.

I agree, maybe due to its transparency? Seems like they'd have to use top quality wood with the best grain pattern, and that could get very expensive. Hmmm.....

I like that. Quite a fair bit. You should take photos. Lots of photos.

Mm, time to break out the big guns. This is an old photo from Forum history:

That's my 2005 Am Series. And in the background (under its lookalike photo-hoarding), the real honest-to-goodness original Bedlam. Strangely appropriate. :)

Cheers - C

Ceri, is that the war museum? Nice Strat!

Ceri - You not plugged in, man. So everyone knows your just lip synching and playing to pre-recorded backing tracks. It is not live ...

So here's my updated Sienna Sunburst. I changed out the stock pick ups and pickguard with a set of Custom Shop Texas Specials I received for Xmas(courtesy of the Mrs.).

I know this a strat thread but I've been calling my '78 Fretless a Sienna Burst, but looking at the pics here, mine looks different.

It's not just a Strat thread, all sienna bursts are welcome here and you appear to have one of the earliest examples right there.

All sunbursts vary wildly depending on what year they were done, which employee did the job and how much the finish has sunk and faded with age.
