Keep an eye on things for us and come back in about 47,500 posts.
We'll go through the countdown together.

Hmmm, what's with the different counts?

Perhaps the "removed" posts aren't reflected in the number at the bottom of the page.

What should be the "millionth post"?

Is there another place (other than the bottom of the page) where you can see the post count?

There's a number of reasons why database autoincrement ID numbers don't follow consecutively. Some databases increment the ID counter even on a failed record insert so the post numbers may go 997, 998, 1000, 1001 if record 999 contained invalid data and the insert failed. It's also possible to temporarily suspend the increments and get two identical primary keys. However, any developer who does this should be fired on the spot.

I think the real millionth poster should get a prize.

If I'm the 1,000,000th post, can you program it so balloons fall down from my ceiling when it happens. That would be so cool!

That's a very large stone. It rolled into one of our local canyons during a rain storm. You can tell the size of it from the telephone pole next to it. It took them two days to break it up and move it. I'm not sure if there was any moss gathered on it.

Me too.

I believe they are no longer giving a new Am Dlx Strat to each user who achieves 10,000 posts? Man, that's such a shame for the newcomers...

Cheers - C

Actually I seem to remember reading in the Forum Rules that after 13,000 quality posts a member could have his pick of any Fender product. :) I'm sure I read that.....
