That's a really nice looking guitar. The wood is beautiful.

Nice and glad you got one. I posted about these on sale in James Roy's "Elvis" thread.

By the time I called, they were sold out. :?

Elvis held one of these in Clambake for about 10 seconds so I don't really get the connection. They sold out about 2 hrs. after I bought mine. I was really lucky to get Elvis to sign mine too.

Actually the Clambake guitar is a bit wrong. Though the guitar is essentially a Kingman, in the film Elvis used a Wildwood VI. In promotional shots for Double Trouble he is pictured with a similarly colored Kingman.

I do remember seeing Elvis play a Kingman in a movie, but I've long sinc3e forgotten which one but I do remember thinking that it was super cool because of the 6 on a side tuners-something no other hollow bodies had and it gave them a modern look.Congrats on your new Kingman-the Wildwood really makes for an impressive looking guitar and the price is incredibly low-a great buy for sure-I hope that my local Mom and Pop have a similar deal but even $199 is an incredibly good deal.

Thanks Guitslinger, I don't understand why these are on closeout, but glad to get one. The wildwood finish is a bit of a crap shoot to buy sight unseen like I did, but at the price they sold for I didn't think I could go too wrong. Some look better than others I think I got a nice one. 2nd nicest one I've seen so far. Not as nice as my Martin, but 1/5 the price. :D
