I've been without a computer for a few months and I finally got it back today with in that time I got some new gear

Crate V5 Amp I bought this so id have an amp that wasn't as loud as my mustang III for when other people are home and plus it was on sale for $79. You cant go wrong with a tube amp for $79.

When I bought my mustang III awhile back I sold all my pedals besides my distortion which lead to me having to find at least a chorus and delay for my Crate V5.

I found an used MXR Zakk Wylde chorus in a pawn shop in good condition for $45. It didn't come with the box or anything tho just the pedal.

And I also found a used Visual Sound H2O in a music shop in mint condition and it came with the box, book and a sticker I only paid 90$ for that. I mainly got it for the echo side but ended up really liking the chorus side.

As of now im not using the MXR as I don't got enough adapters but id say it will go back on the bored once I get another adapter or power supply (im thinking about the Visual Sound 1spot or the Dunlop DC brick)

I remember those Crate V series amps. ZZ Top used them for a tour.

I almost pulled the trigger on a V33 head.

Then they got discontinued.

the V5 is a quite a good sounding amp that's just with a volume and tone knob.
Id say the V33 sounds better as it got an actual eq section, gain knob and well the reverb is a bonus to

Then there's the V18 all-tube amp, sort of a big brother to the V5, but it's got some EQ and reverb, too.

They are also discontinued, but that's the way it goes for most amps - here today, used tomorrow. I bought this one from a guy I went to buy a guitar from, got it for an even $180 and then I cleaned it up to almost sparkling mint. The grill cloth is a photo aberration.

Well the mustang is a hell of a lot louder and versatile as it got everything built in. And also the mustang got a 12" celstion speaker in it compared to a 10" crate speaker. Both are good IMO but if I had to choose id say the mustang cause it can get ridiculously heavy. Even compared to a Boss Metal Zone clone I use on the V5.
Id like to get a closed back cab for the V5 with some celstion speakers id say that would make it 20x better
