Do any of you know where I might be able to find someone to build a roadcase for my amp? I'm going to Tulsa with it later this month, and I want it to get there and back intact. It's also going to be handled by roadies, and you never know if someone is careful or not.

The amp is a Grammatico Kingsville, and it has the same dimensions as a Tweed Fender Bassman 4x10 combo.

I just found these guys too.

https://www.keeley-cases.com/index.html

I met them in Dallas and they some sort of really light but sturdy material they were building their cases out of. I might see if I could get a quote from them too.

And on a purely superficial level... I don't want a boring black road case that will get mixed up with everyone else's. So, white (to match the amp) or gray (because people tell me that getting a white road case is crazy)?

If you buy a higher-end (Level 4) case from roadcasesusa.com, they offer various colors for a small upcharge ($10)...

http://www.roadcasesusa.com/level-4-air ... -4-or-3-8/

They have a white, a light grey and a darker grey...or you could go purple, in tribute to your old Squier... 8)

Rebecca...we just had a discussion on another thread about 'advertising' the contents of one's cases. Black and boring is just what the doctor would order. This a road gig, not a fashion show and you don't need to join The Duck Brother's logo club. There are stories a'plenty about some of the best in the business having had their gear stolen. Photograph and document everything you own...serial numbers etc...and put them in a safe place. You can create a coding system for your band, to be lettered on the cases, so that all the gear can be identified, and cross indexed to the band member with out giving away the ID. At the most, have the band's name on the cases if necessary. You want the 'tools of your trade' to be where you need them and when. How they dress for travel is unimportant. That they make the journey intact is. You probably know all this already, and have taken care of business for your travels in the past. Just say'in 'cause we care.

Doc

Rental may be an option to consider. SoundCheck in Nashville offers this service.

That's a very good point, it didn't even cross my mind. I'm usually keep a very watchful eye on things, and I never leave a guitar alone at a gig, but I can't always keep track of everything all the time. I do keep records and pictures of everything and have all my serial numbers written down just in case. Maybe I'll go with black and boring after all.
