The pickups in the weather guitar thus far are HHH [hazy, hot'n, humid].

Don't know what it will be today...The Forecast Calls For Rain or Good Day Sunshine. It's definitely Summer In The City, for those Under The Boardwalk or Downtown. I'n sure the kids 'll be Surf'in somewhere off the Florida beaches, or just tak'in in The Warmth of The Sun. Yesterday I just Couldn't Stand The Weather. Got chased off the beach around 1:30 pm and it rained until after 6:00.

Have a great rest of the weekend and a safe holiday.

Doc

G'Day - - extreme humidity may be on it's way out by tomorrow.

It's been quite a long stretch of this tropical humidity in the Northeast!

Low 70's at 6:00 am and clear. Forecast to 91 with thunderstorms in the afternoon. Classic Florida summer day. Hear the NE is due for a cool down soon.

East of the Pond, it's been touching 30C / 86F where I am today, with steely blue skies.

I was out playing tennis with my friend for nearly three hours in the hottest part of the day ("mad dogs and Englishmen" etc). We had a long knock about, because neither of us had played for a couple of months and at our age that's plenty of time for the rust to set in. And then a couple of sets: from one end I was losing the ball against the sun every time I served, which was a bit tiresome - but I still won 6-2 6-4.

Ha! A Chuck Berry victory duck-walk along the baseline. :)

Cheers - C

Finally nothing but blue skies in the Northeast. :D

70 Degrees F - dewpoint at 55 degrees = feels like summer is almost over.

Time to start thinking about picking some Honey Crisp apples. Those from the southern hemisphere are all out but the MIA crop is coming in.

Haha! In this case it really wasn't, I'm afraid.

But thank you for putting the thought in my head. Here's a nice version, for anyone who didn't quite catch the reference:

And to Mike: my own apple trees are also nearly ready to offer up for pie time. Autumn has its compensations... :)

Cheers - C
