When is Fender releasing the new Coronado and Starcaster guitars? I'm gassing for the new Coronado and I swore I would never buy a MIC guitar.

A Starcaster could have my name on it.

I like the Starcaster with the natural finish and the Coronado in Cherry. :)

I haven't bought a guitar, new or used, since November of last year - that's a new world record for me and I've been sticking to it. Let's see, that's seven, eight, nine months now!

But... I have to say, MIC or not, I would be sorely tempted to add one of the Starcasters to my collection.

I will have to see if I have a moment of weakness...

P.S. It's not that I haven't been spending my gig money, it's just that my priorities changed and I've been buying other things.

None of these models are listed in the products page.

What's your point? They aren't going to be on the products page until they are released. That is why I asked when will they be released. There is a seller in Canada already taking orders on e-bay for them. :)

So wait, do we KNOW they're MIC yet? I just bought an MIC Epiphone (it's more or less a MIC Gibson; has the coil tap, Gibson USA 57 Classic Pickups, etc), and it's really gotten me to give CHinese guitars another chance. I love this thing.

Some early rumors said they would be MIJ.

You can find pictures of them. I don't know where those came from.

People were mentioning prices too.

Yes, I guess so. The current rumors are that they will be MPs.

I'd love to see a Coronado Reissue, no matter where it's made!

I have been posting threads about how I 'd love to see two of my Holy Grail Fenders-the Coronado and Starcaster-reissued ever since I joined the forum 5 or 6 years ago-do you suppose they were listening to me?I would certainly buy one of each if the money could hold out.I wonder if the Coronado XII is coming on line too-that would really be a fabulous addition to the line.I too have a split-coil Epiphone Les Paul with the Epi Pro-buckers-their version of the PAF-and the pickups sound so much like real period PAFs that it's uncanny.MIC guitars are now comparable to those made by any other country because their attention to Quality Control is almost obsessive these days.

I was always saying that I doubted the Starcaster would be reissued now that they gave the name to a low budget, bargain basement Strat wannabe but I guess they have that little snag overcome in some way......now if the only would reissue the Fender XII solid body from the mid to late 60s-that would send me right over the moon.

BTW: The Fender XII was the guitar that Jimmy Page used along with his famous Tele to record "Stairway to Heaven",not the Gibson as so many people have mistakenly taken for granted. There is no comparison to the sound of the Fender XII as far as the Gibson goes, the XII has that beautiful single coil quack that only a Fender is capable of.
Further to the Starcaster:Randy Bachman of Bachman,Turner Overdrive,The Guess Who ,Bachman-Cummings endorsed Starcasters back in the day and actually used them recording.I have Fender ads from old Guitar Player mags from that era with Randy and his Starcaster-I'll try to find it.
