You're not talkning about Megadeth, are you? Al Pitrelli? Marty Friedman? Go ahaed and dislike them all you want, but it takes supreme talent to be in Megadeth.

Did Gigantour come through your town yet? How does Chris Broderick sound with Megadeth? And what did you think about In Flames and Children of Bodom?

oh yeah, on topic-

After listening to both bands since thier inception, and noticing that Megedeth got Better, While Metallica lost their Raw Agression when they lost Cliff Burton and ran out of Mustaine material, and began flogging Lars' Dead Horse

And after seeing both bands Live, metallica in '92 with Newstead. The best part of the show was Newsteads Kill 'em All Medley.

Megadeth, in 2006 in Devore Ca.- they were just as fierce and better musicians than when they were in the '80s.
I just got back from Gigantour 2008 at the Long Beach Arena. I slammed like a teenager, and messed up my $10 program in the process. They Still Got It

After careful consideration and weighing all possible tangents, I vote for
MEGADETH!!!!

for an easy test, listen to Four Horsemen and Mechanix back to back. No matter which one you like better, Mustaine wrote it.

HA, I was just posting that response while you posted this one. How cool!
Yeah, Children of Bodon was right on. In Flames could have been better, but that was the sound guys fualt. I couldn't hear the Guitars too good, The Band Kicked Butt!

I used to be a big Metallica fan untill they tried to sue me for having a song off a bootlegged cd no longer in print that i bought like 10 times.
Now i wont even listen to them, if they come on the radio I turn it off.

Megadeth all the wayyyy baby. no sell out no excuses.

While I'm no fan of Lars Ulrich's pandering to the RIAA tactics (as someone blocked from Napster back in the day for having Metallica songs on my computer - which I ripped from my purchased CDs and not available to others), I still like Metallica's music at least before 'Metallica'.

Shows how shortsighted they were - CD sales are almost rock bottom and iTunes is the choice of many. All of my songs are either from CDs or purchased from iTunes - all 5200 of them (and growing)! The RIAA can blow it out my arse... and I just ignore the drums. ;)

metallica. I've heard just about all their songs because my neighbor is CRAZY about metallica and kirk hammet and dave mustaine are both very good guitarists.

I'd have to say Metallica is better. I think Kirk is a great musician. Was never much of a Megadeth fan. Any band that can't spell their own band's name isn't worth a listen in my book. Mustaine's voice annoys me and he comes off as a huge D-bag in interviews.
Also I prefer Metallica because every sentence ends with an "err-aaaaagh!" and I think it's comical.

I really hate all these verses threads. I think its because they always go "Who is BETTER" not "who do you PREFER", which is what you're really asking.

Now that that mini rant is over with.. I prefer Megadeth. Rust In Peace and So Far So Good So What are two of the very few metal albums I own (and enjoy)
