That sounds like a great weekend Rebecca. Take it in stride, there's more to come. Think of your classes as a way to maintain some sanity.
The video I shot of you is by far the most viewed, and that's against several Bonamassa video's that I have up.

Thanks for sharing that. Loved the pics.

I had to pull up some MT on YouTube today. I found a video of their first album. I'll have to pull up a few more tomorrow (I'm not very familiar with their albums, but I've heard many of their hits on the radio over the years). So thanks for inspiring some great listening.

I am soooooooooooooooooo proud of you!!!!!!!! And I am proud to know we have a celebrity on the forum. By the way, I grew up in Houston on the west side (Memorial / Spring Branch area) and went to the University of Houston.

All the best to you and your studies!

Thanks guys! :D I already told my boss about it by text message, but when I got to work he made me retell the story in front of every customer today. (The Marshall Tucker thing, I doubt the customers at a guitar store would be interested in hearing about my '93 Acura.)

I'm playing with Tin Cadillac there. I also have a band called Texas 99 (we're playing in Tulsa in a few weeks), and my "side project" where I write and record my own songs. I haven't written a song in about a year though, I've been really busy playing with the other bands.

That's an Empress Tele. They were a limited run (two colors, 500 guitars in each) that Fender came out with for Telecaster 60th anniversary "Telebration" event last year. I found that one in a shop and saved up for it for about a year, and it was still there when I came back to get it! It's made of the same type of wood some people use to build surfboards, and it's the lightest solid body electric that I've ever played. It shares the spotlight with my Forumcaster about half the time.

I play the Tele in Tin Cadillac because Mike (the other guitarist) plays a Strat, and two Strats can sound kinda muddy together if you aren't really careful. In Texas 99 I play my Strat much more often because the other guitarist plays a Tele. To me playing a guitar that isn't exactly like the other guy's helps me stand out in the mix.

That's incredible Rebecca, getting honorable mention from Hubert Sumlin was enough of an endorsement of your fretboard skills to make you stand 10 feet tall, but now to be asked on stage to play with by such a famous and rockin' act as the MTB is really a testament to your playing ability-I am really tickled to death for you-great stuff.
