and...why this worries me : I can't find a link, but I had read an interview a while back where Scott said that if Brian ever quit , he'd probably be done with Local H. I really hope this is not the case.... it doesn't sound like it is, given the info that they're giving to the press..but...you know...if a suitable replacement isn't found... I'm worried, to say the least. My favorite band. at least I got to see them play together. I hope Scott finds someone who will be able to fill these shoes. Brian is amazing.

Dan, wiki says Brian is leaving in October. Joe Daniels is still around, married with children but still around. I can think of a few drummers in the Chicagoland area that could handle the gig, not saying they're better than, just saying that Scott has options if he wants them.

I heard Joe was selling real estate....and from what I gather things didn't end well and he and Scott haven't talked in a long time.
I know, lots of fish in the sea and all..but...damn. I'm just happy the news wasn't announced as the band was over. I am excited about what the next record will sound like.

Thanks for posting this thread Dan, since I broke my shoulder last January I have really been out of the loop (pun intended). The few times I've been in Chicago these months have been as designated driver for musicians that are from the suburbs, metal-heads that don't know Scott or any city players. Scott will be fine I think and because of you I too am interested in what Local H will sound like this time around :D

you're welcome, man. I'd give anything to see that final show in Chicago. Damn me being broke for the foreseeable future.

We will all get the chance to see Local H again but right now money is tight for a lot of people, myself included, lol. I know a few multi-millionaires that have been complaining about it lately so you know things are tight. Things have a way of coming around though, just keep the faith, good thoughts and we will all get through this smarter stronger and better looking  (the "better looking" is wishful thinking  )

Oh, man. I wish I could've made it up there for that. were you there? and, poor Scott. His voice does sound pretty rough since what happened in Russia. Yet another thing to add to why I'm worried about the future of this band. But at least they really seem like there's no bad blood and Scott seems to be in a good mood there. Keeping my fingers crossed he finds a suitable replacement. Thanks for sharing....and doing me a "Solid"

Dan, I had forgotten about Scott getting mugged in Russia, scary incident, glad that he is ok now. I wasn't at that show, the metal-heads I 'designated driver' for stay in the 'burbs most of the time, it's cool though, a low-paying gig but I get to see alot of up and coming local bands. Here is Scott's other band:
