Cool! I prefer the Joe Walsh era. I'm a HUGE fan of Joe no matter the band, but I have to say I prefer Joe in the Eagles to Joe solo or in other bands.

Hotel California is as great and perfect as a song can be, and a true definition of a masterpiece. If not for that song, I wouldn't be here today. It always lifts my spirits to this day.

But yeah Hotel California and The Long Run are THE Eagles albums for me. I'm not a bluegrasser, and mainly prefer 90s-to-newer for country. I liked One Of These Nights (the song) and Already Gone though, which were Felder. But not a big Leadon fan.

But I'm a classic rock "hits" guy. I love those hits, even if they are "pop rock" from that time. It's just what I enjoy. I love how they sound like their records. I like rehearsed, polished music. It's to each his own.

I love Felder to death, and I do think he got a raw deal - however I love Joe and Don Henley is my favorite singer of all time (Truly a golden throat singer) and while Stu Smith is NOT Felder, he gets the job done and is a great player in his own right. I'm going to see them one more time in October, and that's it. I will definitely see Felder when he comes to my state. Like I said, Joe and Don are my heroes and without Hotel California, I would not be here.

I prefer Joe, simply because I prefer raw playing and blues based and not so technical and "scale-y" for lack of a better word. That said, a technician schooled player and a guy who plays by the seat of his pants often go well together. I just don't care for technical playing for what I like. I just prefer the Page, Walsh, Perry's of the world to the Whitford's, Satriani's, and Holdsworth's types. But that's for another time another day.

That's Jimmy Fox and Dale Peters helping Joseph do what Joseph did best.

No Telecaster/Vibroverb combination ever sounded ballsier!

A '64 blackface with a D130F Lansing speaker. Unknown as to whether it was an AA763 or AB763.
