I looking getting a Deluxe 90 to drive a Fender Leslie 16 I just picked up but I see the 90 does not have an extension speaker output. If I replace the 4-ohm speaker in the 90 with an 8-ohm speaker would I be OK adding an extra speaker plug in parallel to the back of the 90 and powering the 90's speaker and the leslie?

An 8 ohm external speaker in parallel with an 8 ohm internal speaker gives you a load of 4 ohms, same as the stock setup. And as it's a transistor amp you won't cause any damage if you disconnect the extension speaker and run it at 8ohms. Transistor output stages can cope with wide variations in speaker load but it's not a great idea to go below 4 ohms, that will cause damage. If you're not sure about what the speaker load is, just disconnect from the power amp and stick a multimeter across the combined speaker load.
