If some people played the guitar as much as they type and talk on the forums and internet about playing the guitar....The world would have some great guitarists out there....Just a thought.

The more you play, the tougher your fingers get, so get off the computer and practice so you won't have bleeding fingers....After all, we wouldn't want you to die...

I have to agree!
I started to realize how much time I was spending on internet and decided to devote more time to playing a few months back and I have noticed a huge difference!

I told myself the other day, "Get off the computer and go practice!"
I think I'll do that right now in fact...
Later!:D

If you just practice, you will be excellent technically, but have no soul. Mixing with people form all over the world in one form or another is healthy for the soul. Do you think some of the great players would be as great if they did not have outside influences to inspire them?

I'd have to say the world is already loaded with great guitar players. Good guitar players are a dime a dozen. Every major city is full of em. Forming and reforming bands. All hoping for that big break that most likely won't come because the market is saturated with good guitar players.

I guess if I had 582 posts, I might not be playing as much as I should. But I don't, and I will go practice now.

Which is why guitar is only a hobby, I don't want to spend hours on end if I don't plan on it being a career path.

So true.

But it's a wide open market for Internet typers... hardly any of those anywhere!
